Lets hop on to food first. I am a foodie, and well of course if I go somewhere new I will try the food. One of the most famous dishes in Spain is known as paella 🥘. It is a classic Spanish rice dish made with rice, saffron, vegetables. For chicken paella it is made from rice, saffron, chicken, and seafood. The dish is cooked, and served in one huge pan. This dish has originated from Valencia which is in Spain. Omg! The flavor in every bite is marvelous. I tried both the veg and chicken one. I cannot really explain how it tastes like, but it is smoky and tastes juicy.
Another dish is churros, it is a dessert. It is eaten with chocolate. Churros are a popular snack in Spain. Even though tis a Mexican dessert I first tried it in Spain. . They are made with simple choux pastry fried in hot oil and coated in cinnamon sugar. The taste of the chocolate with cinnamon was unimaginable.
Basílica de la Sagrada Família is one of the most beautiful of the most popular churches. It a tourist attraction. when I went here and saw it in person in 2018, it was mind boggling. I felt I was seeing something right out of a storybook.
The Great Mosque of Cordoba. It is an Islamic mosque which was turned into a christian cathedral in the 13th century. The architecture is beautifully built.
My experience there was great I had a lot of fun, and I enjoyed the food, the architecture.
Now onto history so, Basílicade la Sagrada Família is built by Francisco de Paula del Villar and, it was built in a Gothic classic style. It is a large Roman church built in Barcelona. It was designed by Antoni Gaudi. Even though the church is not finished it is a world heritage site.
